In what test procedure are you using 22% Albumin?

We use it for tube antibody screens and panels. Any suggestions? What is a good number of specimens to run in duplicate with each reagent?

You need to run as many as you feel comfortable with. I don't believe there is a "standard" number. For something like 22% Albumin, I would probably only do a couple Negative Antibody Screens and a couple relatively weakly Positive Antibody Screens.
Just curious.....Have you considered any of the other enhancement solutions such as LISS (Low Ionic Strength Solution) or PeG (Polyethylene glycol)? Their increased sensitivity and shortened incubation period are wonderful!

Thanks Donna for your feedback. I have thought about the other enhancement solutions...but we use it so infrequently in the first place. We use gel for everything except in a few cases.

we use gel but we validated PEG against albumin after we switched to gel. Everytime when we need to run tube we use PEG.
